There are two market types, one for company-specific information that only one party is interested in and one market type for general information where multiple parties could have interest in.
Specific Markets
An example for a market that could be launched by Superteam
Specific markets are launched by a singular party that is looking for information that only applies to their company. This can be specific hires, players or type of research that they want to keep to themselves or that only they are interested in. They provide the prize pool once and set a duration for the market, when they distribute it.
General Markets
A general market that multiple angel investors could have interest in
General markets are created centrally by Bench, and are targeting information that can be relevant to multiple parties. Example markets could be: "Who are the best Backend Engineers for hire?", "Who are the best goalkeepers to buy?", "Which European star will breakthrough next? ".
For all general markets, multiple parties have an interest in the signals they surface. For these markets, an initial prize pool is set that rises depending on the interest the market attracts, essentially becoming a price finding mechanism for the surfaced data.
This market type also grants anonymity for the information buyer.
